Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • No. Our artists are fully booked and do not pre-draw designs for clients. They do not email or text designs prior to appointments. You will get plenty of time to review your design the day of your appointment and your artist will make adjustments to the design, if needed.

  • No. We do not accommodate groups or large parties. Feel free to reach out to your artist of choice to request same day appointments with a friend.

  • We do not take walk ins. If you’d like a last minute appointment, watch your artist’s social media for cancellations and last minute openings.

  • Abraxas is open anytime the OPEN sign is on. Carlos does not allow visitors during his sessions as he reserves full and partial days for private sessions. An artist is available to greet visitors and answer any questions about booking.

  • We do not have a receptionist. Our artists book independently for themselves. This is efficient and cost effective for our shop and keeps the process streamlined for each artist. Additionally, our artists are Independent Contractors not employees.

  • Full payment is expected at the time of your service. We cannot accommodate payment schedules on tattoos. If you are working with a strict budget, let your artist know before your tattoo begins so they can help you plan accordingly.

    Our artists charge an hourly rate which does not include drawing time, set up/break down, or breaks. You may ask your artist about daily rates, but typically they prefer to charge hourly.

    We require deposits in order to ensure our artists time that is scheduled and reserved for you. Deposits are non refundable. See our full Deposit & Cancellation Policy below.

  • No, minors cannot get tattooed at Abraxas. Not even with a guardian. No minors. No exceptions. Must be 18 or over with proof of identification to get tattooed.

  • Nope.

  • Abraxas Tattoo takes great pride in being a safe and accessible space for all. Each artist has the ability to offer a fully private session and will go to great lengths to keep guests comfortable. If you require modified accommodations for health or physical limitations, just let your artist know and we will do our best to accommodate you. An elevator is available for accessible entrance.

  • Yes. Racism, sexism, bigotry, transphobia, homophobia, body shaming, or being a dick in general will not be tolerated, and we will end or refuse service to anyone exhibiting asshole behavior.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Deposits are required in order to ensure our artists time that is scheduled and reserved for you. Last minute cancellations impact our artists significantly since most appointments are reserved for a full day and can not be easily filled without adequate notice.

Deposits are non refundable. They are applied to the cost of your tattoo. If the tattoo is multiple sessions the deposit will be applied to your final session.

Any cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiting your deposit. This allows the artist to be compensated for drawing time and the loss of income for the day.

  • Please email your artist in the event that you must cancel or reschedule. You may retain your deposit if your appointment is rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice.

  • Arriving more than 15 mins late to your appointment may result in the cancellation and/or forfeiture of your deposit.

  • We offer one chance to reschedule and keep your deposit on file. If you reschedule more than once you will need to leave another deposit in order to schedule again.

  • Deposits will be kept on file for 12 months beginning on the date the deposit was made and forfeited if the appointment is not rescheduled within 12 months of original deposit payment date.

Each artist is individually responsible for their own deposits on file. Our artists are Independent Contractors, not employees, and process payments into their own business accounts. Ransom Enterprises, LLC is not responsible for repayment or compensation of deposits owed to any guests other than those on file with Carlos or Andiy Ransom.
